Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates Adds Guía Realty to Expand in South Texas
Irvine, Calif. (January 22, 2020) — Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates today announced that Guía Realty, a commercial real estate company based in San Antonio, Texas, is joining as an affiliate to expand the company’s presence in San Antonio and throughout South Texas. Led by Managing Partner Eric J. Duxstad (MAI, AI-GRS, MRICS, CCIM), Guía Realty specializes in a broad spectrum of properties, including various retail property types, medical and professional office buildings, apartment complexes, industrial properties, farm and ranch properties, and special use properties.
“It’s difficult to start a strictly local entity, especially in the competitive San Antonio market, even for a lifelong resident such as myself,” Duxstad remarked. “Being affiliated with Sperry Commercial, a known national name, will provide us with many benefits. We’ll have access to additional resources and contacts—providing a much larger playing field and more opportunities.”

Duxstad named the new company Guía Realty. Guía means guide in Spanish. He hopes to be able to guide his clients in the everchanging commercial real estate world now and in the future.
Duxstad is a former senior director with Integra Realty Resources in San Antonio. Prior to Integra, he worked with Ryoak Real Estate Group. From 1997 to 2016, he was a senior commercial real estate review appraiser with Frost Bank. Over his years with Frost Bank, Duxstad worked in the Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, and San Antonio markets. Duxstad was also the 2019 President for the San Antonio/South Texas CCIM chapter. He is volunteering for 2020-2021 on a subcommittee of the National CCIM Board.
