Sperry Commercial Expands in the New York Tri-State Area with Bloom Real Estate Group

Irvine, Calif. (August 27, 2020) — Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates today announced that Bloom Real Estate Group, the number one boutique commercial real estate brokerage in New York City, is joining as the company’s first affiliate in the New York Tri-State area. Led by Principal Broker Scott M. Bloom, Managing Director Sam Suzuki and Broker GieFaan Kim, Bloom Real Estate Group executes acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate. The company specializes in all facets of leasing and sales including office, retail, multi-family, medical, industrial, hotels and restaurants.

Scott Bloom has more than 31 years of experience in commercial leasing and sales. Prior to forming Bloom Real Estate Group, his first 15 years at Newmark and what is now Colliers, representing both landlords and tenants, sellers and purchasers. As an owner representative, he has boosted occupancy in every assignment, improving rates from as low as 55 percent to 97-100 percent.

Bloom is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (Grand Central Committee Executive Board).  In 2012, he was the Real Estate Board of New York Retail Deal of the Year Award Winner for bringing the first-ever supermarket to the financial district which helped to transform the downtown area.

Sam Suzuki has spent 34 years in real estate finance and development. His expertise is in real estate debt workouts, construction, multi-family management, and retail and residential development. His most notable projects are Gramercy 1860 Condominium, Clement Clarke Condominium, Loft 14, and Number 5 Condominium. Real Estate assemblage for the Dillon Hotel, Hildona Court, Red Roof Inn, and AHG Hotel Group.

He is an instructor for New York Real Estate Institute, and a guest lecturer at New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate and Baruch College.  Suzuki was a board member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America and has served as Commercial Chairman of the Manhattan Chapter and the Vice Chairman of Commercial for the national organization. 

GieFaan Kim specializes in investment sales and new development, and working closely with investors and developers. He provides exceptional service with a vested interest for his clients.  He is the co-founder of Keller Williams NYC, a 900-agent firm.  Some notable projects Kim has worked on include Loft14 and Number5Condos.

Kim has received the Outstanding 50 Award (AABDC) and A-List Award (AREAA) and has served on the Board of Directors for Keller Williams NYC, AREAA National and AREAA Manhattan.  Kim is currently attending Georgetown where he is pursuing a Masters in Real Estate Development.
